Food Sensitivity Test

The Food Sensitivity test measures the level of the body's immune response to over 200 specific foods. Under healthy conditions, the immune response to foods is natural and balanced, without the risk of leading to chronic inflammation or health conditions. However, in many cases such as an intolerance or illness, the immune system becomes hypersensitive to certain foods, leading to widespread inflammation and symptoms that may not appear until days after consumption. The food sensitivity test helps determine what the offending foods may be and how best to proceed in the most efficient manner through elimination and re-introduction.

Mineral Hair Analysis Test

The Mineral Hair Analysis test can measure the levels of up to 60 essential minerals and toxic metals, providing a profile of how the body is metabolizing these elements. Hair gives an indication of deficiencies and excesses occurring within the hair itself, but also within the body's tissues. Levels of toxicity or insufficiency can be measured. The mineral hair analysis test is most comprehensive combined with a nutrition and lifestyle evaluation. In doing so, the most accurate diagnosis and path toward individualized, optimal wellness can be achieved. Minerals included are: electrolytes, calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, phosphorus, copper, manganese, chromium, selenium, iron, molybdenum, lithium, cobalt, and zinc. Toxic metals included are: lead, mercury, cadmium, arsenic, nickel, and aluminum.

Omega-3 Index Test

The Omega-3 Index Test measures the percentage of omega-3 fatty acids in the blood, relative to the total amount of fatty acids. This test can help predict a person's risk for cardiovascular (heart) disease, cognitive decline, mortality, and systemic inflammation. Low levels of omega-3 fatty acids is associated with an increased risk of the above and can indicate the dietary and lifestyle changes that need to be made to reduce risk. The index test also measures the levels of omega-6 fatty acids, which are essential, but can be pro-inflammatory at elevated levels. Higher levels of omega-3 fatty acids are protective and anti-inflammatory.

Hair Cortisol Level Test

The Hair Cortisol Level Test measures the body's output of, and response to, the major stress hormone, cortisol, over a 3 month period. Under healthy conditions, cortisol is produced by the adrenal glands in sufficient amounts to deal with acute and chronic stress that keeps the body functioning optimally and efficiently. However, when stress levels are chronically high, the body's cortisol production and response may become dysregulated or insufficient. This can lead to burn out, fatigue, insomnia, food cravings, weight gain, mood imbalances, brain fog, and hormone dysregulation. The Hair Cortisol Level Test will indicate if the body is producing sufficient, elevated, or insufficient levels of cortisol. This test, combined with nutrition and lifestyle evaluation, can provide a comprehensive picture of the function of the adrenal glands and what steps to take going forward to rebalance. This test can be an add-on to the Mineral Hair Analysis test or done on it’s own.
